Changing Settings

Text Relay and the Next Generation Text Service (NGTS)

We accept calls from Text Relay. If you have difficulty speaking or hearing on the phone, or you prefer not to, then Text Relay is a national telephone relay service which facilitates calls between text phone users and someone using a standard telephone. 

Next Generation Text lets you have conversations by using the internet or a text phone. You can also download the Next Generation Text Lite app onto your smartphone or tablet to use it on the go.

If you wish to contact us using the Text Relay service please use the prefix 18001 with any of our standard contact numbers. (e.g. 18001 0333 014 3125 for customer services)

Relay assistants only speak English, so won’t be able to translate calls in a different language.

Standard UK calls through the Text Relay and Next Generation Text service are free. Non-standard UK calls will be discounted.

If you have problems using a computer because of a disability or impairment then we recommend that you visit AbilityNet’s My Computer My Way website which provides lots of advice on how to make your computer easier to use. AbilityNet are experts in the field of computing and disability and they provide a free service to individuals with disabilities to assess their computing needs (call AbilityNet free on 0800 269 545 for more information).
